Snow Storm

I finally got to record the samples though the weather was really bad. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still December or January right, but it's freakin' March. The snow was about 5 inches thick!! What a 'great' way to start the week. I was so worried that school might be closed due to the bad weather, but luckily it didn't. An 'emergency holiday' would be great if I'm not 3 weeks behind my work plan.

So I dragged myself to school only to find out that the equipment that I was going to borrow was with someone else. Luckily, I could find him right away. He helped me get all the things that I needed. So, after getting all of the equipments ready for check-out, I went to see the technician to ask some stuff. I never get this guy's way of talking because every time he speaks, he seems to have PMS. All the bloody time. He's somewhat helpful, but before he 'help' you out, he will talk in an unpleasant tone making you feel that you don't deserve to be born. Hmmphh...

We arrive at the consulate just before 7pm. Apparently, the 'boss' (I'm assuming the general consulate') was still there, so we could not make much noise with the instruments. I was even scared to turn on the lights at first. I thought that the maestro was going to help us with the recording but he had to standby at the office as his boss was still in a meeting. So, we proceeded with the recording without him. This is my first time ever doing field recording. Thank God my friend was able to come along because I couldn't imagine moving the instruments, holding the mic, handling the recorder, taking notes and playing the instruments all by myself. I wish I had more time and people to help me out for the session because I am not satisfied with the samples that I got. But, you gotta work with what you have. I'm just going to keep this one for now.

The train back home took forever to come. After that, we had to walk in -7 degrees Celsius to get home. Right now, I'm so tired, my body aches, and I'm sleepy. I'm gonna call it a night.

(This post sounds like a SPM essay..Shit)
