I had a freaking looooooonnnnggg day today..Phew..Lepas satu, satu. Letih siot..Begini ceritanya..
Last night, I felt like I was going to have a fever, so I went to bed early. Although I was really tired and sleepy before going to bed, for some reason, I felt like I couldn't really sleep the whole night. I woke in the morning feeling unsatisfied, but was determine to go out today since the weather seems bright and sunny. After breakfast, Ummi was online. So we chatted and decided to go to Central Park for a picnic. Since I've never been there before, I was excited.
We arrived at Central Park around 3pm and Ummi was already there waiting. Since it was soo hot (although not as hot as Malaysia. But Malaysia is better because in that weather, I'd be in my car with the air-con turned on to the max), I was getting pissed and wanted to sit down and enjoy the food that we had brought. The park was huge and there were so many people, it took us quite some time to find a spot for our picnic. After a quite long walk, we found a spot at this huge field, and we sat under a tree (being typical Malaysians, takleh kena panas kan..mat salleh selamba badak je duduk bawah matahari rembang, sunbathing konon). Finally, we managed to enjoy our homemade sandwiches which consist of egg, cheese, sardine, and corned beef sandwiches, along with oatmeal cookies and limau mandarin. Tengah duduk2 dlm 10 mins, it started to rain. Since we've checked the weather report today, we figured that the rain might just be for a couple of second, so we remained seated. After 2 mins or so, the rain stopped. We were relieved. However, the sky was not as bright as before. Ummi said that we better prepare ourselves since it might rain again, but I tried not to believe her because I was sure that it was gonna be bright and shine the whole day. Then, it started raining..again...
But this time, it was slightly heavier than before. So we packed our stuff, covered my head with the picnic mat, and started to walk out of Central Park. But, the ****ing park was damn huge and confusing, it took us freakin' 30 mins to finally reach the exit. The rain started to get really heavy by then and we were all already drenched. Being a smart ass, I didn't bring my payung. So does Ummi, so does Shue. Pandai sangat. Anyway, instead of looking for a shelter, we decided to keep on walking since we were already drenched. Then the rain gets heavier than before, plus thunder and lightning, we decided to find a shelter. We stayed there for about 15 mins. Then rain stopped. So we walked again. Then it rained again! So we found ourselves another shelter. This time, we stayed there for a longer time.
After about 30 mins of menunggu dan merenung masa depan, the rain started to stop. So we went to Duanne Reade (it's a pharmacy macam Watson gitu) to get ourselves some payung. By that time, my beloved Clarks shoes were drenched with water and my feet was so sakit, I wanted to buy a cheap flip flop. But since everybody wanted to go to the toilet, we went to Nike Town instead to use the bathroom. We stayed there for quite some time to dry our hair, some parts of our clothes, wash our face, and put on some make-up. After that, we went to FAO Shcwartz (a huge ass exclusive toy store). We were like kids in a candy store (there was a candy store!), and we watched a 'big piano' performance which was sooooo cool! Dah abis round, it was getting dark and we decided to go for dinner. I suggested a cheap sushi place called Teriyaki Boy which was about 12 blocks form where we were. So we walked there instead of taking the subway. Tengah jalan-jalan dalam kelaparan, it rained AGAIN! It was as heavy as before but we continued walking cuz most of the shelters are packed with people. We were drenched all over AGAIN! Wasting time je bersolek kat toilet! Last2, we reached Teriyaki Boy. Dapatla makan udon yang panas2 dan sedap itu...
After dinner, we went to Body Shop and Sephora (make-up store) cuz Ummi wanted to get some stuff. After Sephora, I told them that I wanna go home cuz I' soooo wet and tired. So balik la rumah masing2...
Apabila sampai di rumah, setelah membuka pintu, we saw that the floor was wet. I thought that our landlady masuk rumah with her wet shoes to check the drain at the back door, since she SMSed Shue before asking about the drain. When we opened Jenny's room, water was all over the floor! Banjir siot! So, amikla mop and moplah di sekitarnya. Then, I wanted to put my bag in my room, so I opened my room. To my horror, my room was also banjir!! My new Ikea carpet and boxes were wet! Not to mention some of my sweaters inside those boxes. I was so pissed off. All I wanted to do when got home initially was to take a nice shower and go to sleep. But because rumah dah banjir, we had to mop all around the house cuz Shue's room was also affected. We were so frustrated and tired! I was more frustrated because of my carpet. Now I had to sidai it outside of the house so that the water won't bertakung. Hopefully, someone doesn't come and steal my carpet. I'm hoping that tomorrow will be bright cuz I really wanna dry my carpet quickly..aaaarrggghh!! Tensionnya!!
That was the story of my day today. Macam buat karangan SPM siot! hahaha..Anyway, tomorrow, I have to clean the house, and probably get some storage boxes at the supermarket. Waaaaarrggghhh!! Dah takde kotak Ikea!!! dahla murah!! tempat lain mahal!! T__T
