Milestones

Hello there! Long time no see. It's the last week of Syawal and I'd like to wish everyone a Selamat Hari Raya maaf zahir batin.

Alhadulillah Khadeeja will turn 9 months next week! woohoo! Milestones? So far she is able to stand up steadily but with support. So most of the time she hangs on to either the couch or her cot. She crawls around the room so much and that drives me crazy sometimes haha! Ye la kan, mummy dengan nak urus dapur bagai sambil2 nak kena tengok dia. And this happens because she refuses to sit in her play pen anymore! Pandai dia. She will wail and wail if she's in there. Kalau dia diam pun kejap je. Tak sampai setengah jam dah mintak keluar. Adoi!

In terms of food, I'm now trying out more recipes, takde la resipi apa pun, just adding more different types of fruit and vege in her baby puree. She has started eating chicken too! I boil the chicken together with some sweet potato/carrot and add some apple/tomato. She lovessss it! I plan to try out some fish for her tapi nantila. I notice that she prefers 'real' food rather than the 'bancuh' food. Tried Cerelac last time at first she is okay but lama2 she refuses. Makan pun tak laju macam makan labu ke apa. The other day I bought baby pasta so can't wait to let her try!

As for mummy, I'm now getting the rhythm of doing things around the house and taking care of my baby. It used to be so tiring last time but now it's a lot less tiring. Well maybe because I've been taking some supplements jugak kot hehe (try Shaklee people hehe). It gets very tiring at times till I cry but mummy has to be strong right? Baru satu anak je ni. I can't imagine those who have 3 to 4 kids managing their life. I salute you people! Of course, once in a while you must have a mommy-alone time. I usually treat myself to a massage session teehee. I was telling mama the other day that whenever we go out to the mall having set some itinerary on what to buy, I usually end up not buying anything. Why? Because my time at the mall is spent on changing diapers, feeding her food and milk, pujuk her to nap, carry her if she refuses to sit in her stroller. At the end penat kat situ, so nak shopping pun takde mood. Apa lagi dengan nak try baju dalam fitting room semua haih! So I told my husband that if I really need to shop I shall go alone. You stay home jaga baby hahahaah!

I'm such a mummy-book! Maksudnya, in order to find out anything about parenting be it food, baby games, toys and such I usually look for info on the internet/books. I bukan jenis yang kamikaze je. For example when it comes to food, I really follow what the experts say, what to eat and not to eat and such. When it comes to baby walker also, I follow their advice by not using one, so does buaian. Some people might not agree with me but I've done my research so bear with me. After all, it's my kid! There was a time when some relatives wanted to feed her some bahulu, luckily they asked for my permission, of course I said no. Otherwise people would assume that because she is already eating then she can eat just about anything. I'm very strict with not giving sugar, salt, msg, and what other artificial ingredient to my baby. Some people don't mind though. I once saw my husband's cousin giving her 11-months old some teh o! I was this close to scream and said "Noooo that's caffeineeeeee!!". Tapi tengok mak dengan nenek dia selamba je bagi. Suka hati korang la.

Well, while she's growing I guess I have to sacrifice a bit more of my personal wants and needs haha!
