Ramadan updates

You might not know this but I'm having problem with my skin for a loooong time. I got my first pimple at the age of 11 (yep, that early) and it keeps growing from then on. Till now. Very annoying ok. I've tried different brands from cheap pharmacy stuff to not-so-cheap make-up counter brands and nothing works!

My skin condition worsen when I just finished form 5. I had a lot af pimple during form 5 because of SPM, which was very understandable. After school, my mum bought me this 'gamat'-based products that were supposed to work like miracle. So she made me use it, the whole set from cleanser to scrub religiously. At that time, I didn't know that scrub is a no-no for acne prone skin. The lady who sold it to my mum said that I have to use the scrub everyday! My skin turned red and I started to have really bad acne. It hurts so much I couldn't even touch my face! So I stopped using the product and switched to a dermatologist-recommended brand.

After so many times of switching from one brand to another brand, I discovered this water-based-non-alcoholic brand called NuSkin. This product worked wonders for me after 2 years of using it. I was really happy then. But after a while, since this product was considered quite expensive and very hard to get (because you need to find an agent to purchase it), I stopped using it, also thinking that my face now can take a cheaper brand.

When I started working, I was able to afford the famous brands like you see in the fashion magazine, so I purchased Lancome. I could really see and feel the difference then, until I started to use the cleanser for oily skin. I started to get rashes all of a sudden and finally decided to stop using it. Then, I switched to Clinique, till now. I've used Clinique before during high school which turned to be quite okay but my mom couldn't afford it everytime at the time.

Now, I'm thinking of using something that are plant-based/organic products because I heard that it is much safer and work better than the famous make-up counter brands. I'm still looking for a good brand and must not be ridiculously expensive. Some of the names would be Origins, the Body Shop, L'oocitane, and Kiehl's. The Body Shop has the best price and package but I don't know it if its gonna work. I've used it before but kinda forgot how it turned out to be. Other brands are still a little too expensive for me.

My biggest concern is my acne scar and monthly pimple. I've been getting treatment for my scars recently but has yet to see results. I'm basically looking for feedback and testimonials from those who've used some organic/plant-based products. Oh ya, the brands have to be available in Malaysia ;)
