Selamat Hari Raya!

Raya is around the corner. I've been craving for some traditional kuih such as kuih akok, seri muka, jala emas, bengkang ubi, lepat liat, pulut dakap, kuih bakar, dan sebagainya..Yum yum!! I woke up this morning, thinking of making seri muka or bengkang ubi. When I found out that daun pandan and periuk kukus are needed in order to make this, I gave up. Then I figured, bread pudding is kinda similar looking with bengkang, so I decided to make bread pudding. NOT!! I walked halfway to the grocery store and decided not to make it. Since I have a fair amount of cookies in my fridge, might just finish that first. No money spent. Yeay! But I made bubur kacang hijau instead..hahaha!!

My friends back home keep asking me about my raya prep. I'm like, "Hello!!! I have nothing to prepare!!" Bukannya cuti pun. I won't be seeing any pelita or lampu bentuk ketupat anywhere, people selling baju kurung, kuih raya, or hearing takbir raya or lagu raya (except from Hot FM). So, there's no raya feeling whatsoever here. However, I'm excited to go for solat Raya. My Theory teacher wanted to give us quiz next Wednesday, but luckily, there'll be some special Jewish Day on that day as well. So, not many people will be coming for class. Including me!
